Obesity epidemic through the prism of evolutionary processes

چکیده

Currently, obesity has become one of the most serious public health problems. It takes millions lives worldwide every year due to its association with numerous diseases and leads significant social economic losses. is generally accepted that result interaction genes environment, predisposition it lies in our evolutionary past. This review discusses role adipose tissue human evolution, factors specifying a person’s obesity, main hypotheses for origin, potential prevention treatment strategies arising from them. The significance visceral some ethnic sex characteristics associated distribution are also considered.
